sweet daylight

i took my first RAW photograph yesterday. i played with some presets i downloaded from RadLab, so fun! one thing i love so much about our apartment is the light that trickles into our living and bedroom windows. there are trees & shrubs that cover most of the windows for privacy which makes for the sweetest bits of shadows and light.

i took a ballet class yesterday, yay! as i mentioned, it was a big goal for this week. it felt good to be back at the studio that brought me here to la la. the place i spent so much of my twenties in, worked in, played in, built so many relationships and life long friends in. today feels like a new day after that, i'm feeling really inspired!

another one of my intentions for this year is to continue taking pictures. i just recently downloaded a trial of lightroom and am trying to learn the program. i'd love to find a great tutorial, anyone know of any? and i'm very excited to try out this program i found on bonnie tsang's blog a few weeks back. it is vsco film, a post-processing tool that can be used in lightroom or adobe camera raw to help emulate film. check it out here. i so appreciate when talented photographers share their tricks and tools. thanks bonnie!

week one

i did it! i conquered my first week of seriously reduced sugar, no dairy and eating real, whole foods. with the addition of 10 veggies & fruits, omega 3’s, exercise and lots of water with lemon.
